What Makes an Agarbatti Bamboo-Free

Most agarbatti on the market is built around a thin bamboo skewer, which is then coated in fragrant paste. It is cheap and structurally convenient — but bamboo does not burn cleanly, and a portion of what you are breathing in is bamboo smoke, not fragrance.

Our Bambooless Agarbatti replaces that core with a rolled paste made from the same Panchagavya base as our other products, so the stick is fragrance and cow-dung base from end to end, with nothing extraneous burning alongside it.

The trade-off is that bambooless sticks are slightly more fragile and burn a touch faster on average — ours run 40 to 45 minutes — but the smoke is noticeably cleaner and the fragrance comes through truer, without a woody undertone competing with it.

It is a small manufacturing decision that most people never think to ask about, but it is the difference between incense that purifies a room and incense that quietly adds its own smoke to it.
